Some of their collaborations include “Box”, “Diamond” and “Long Shot”. Simple, this was the soundtrack of the 2005 film, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
Soon she signed to Columbia Records, however, the company dropped her off the label even if she has already reached 80 percent completeness of the album. While waiting for another record label, she worked in an independent A&R company called Taxi Music.
Angelica Cob-Baeheler recommended Perry to Virgin Records chairman Jason Flom. Soon Perry signed in to the newly created Capitol Music Group, a merger between the Virgin and Capitol. As a part of their deal, the label secured to finish the unfinished album. The label soon set up collaboration between Perry and the writer-producer Dr. Luke. They produced the songs “I Kissed a Girl” and “Hot n Cold”. The label also started a campaign to catch the media’s attention. On November, they released the video to “Ur So Gay” to introduce her to the market. This created press story and brought Perry to the attention of Madonna.
